I wrote an article about painting skies in Rug Hooking Magazine's March/April/May 2005 issue and there is one of my painted skies on the cover. It describes how I paint them and how to use them. Remember that wool measurements are taken prior to the dyeing, washing and drying process. There will be some shrinkage during this process.
One is hand painted over 5/6 yard and is $56 U.S. plus shipping.
The other is hand painted over 1 yard of Dorr wool and is $56 U.S. plus shipping. It is called Hawaiian sunset.
I can custom dye skies (or water or whatever) from a photograph or post card, etc. and the size of the area to be hooked. Remember that you will need at least four times size the area.
